Aspire NN – Volunteers Week Resource Pack Guidelines

These guidelines support VCSE organisations in North Northamptonshire to use the Aspire NN Volunteers Week Resource Pack effectively. The goal is to showcase local volunteering and create a celebratory photo montage to highlight our collective impact.

Contents of the Resource Pack

Photo Opportunity PDF

  • Printable signage/poster for use in group photos.
  • One with ‘Thank you!’ written on it and one plain for you to write on.

Social Media Graphic

  • For use on your organisation’s social media channels.
  • Advertise the events you are running.

      How to Use the Resource Pack

      Step 1: Prepare for Your Event

      • Download and print the Photo Opportunity PDF.
      • Display the sign prominently during your Volunteers Week event.
      • Encourage volunteers and staff to pose with it in photos.

      Step 2: Take Photos

      • Capture clear, well-lit group or individual photos featuring the poster.
      • Aim for high-quality images that show your volunteers in action or celebration.
      • You may include your organisation’s own branding in the photo, if relevant.

      Step 3: Share Your Event

      • Post your photos on your organisation’s social media using hashtags like:
        • #VolunteersWeekAspireNN
        • #VolunteersWeekNorthNorthants
        • #AspireNN
      • Include the provided social media graphic with your posts to maintain branding consistency.

      Step 4: Submit Photos to Aspire NN

      • Email your best photos to info@aspirenn.org.uk
      • Include:
        • Your organisation name
        • Event name (if applicable)
        • A short description (1–2 sentences) of the event or activity

      Step 5: Photo Montage

      This will be shared via Aspire NN’s social media and newsletter to spotlight the collective effort of North Northants VCSE.

      Aspire NN will compile all submissions into a Volunteers Week celebration montage.

      Tips for Success

      • Get consent from everyone in the photo (especially for public sharing).
      • Use landscape orientation for group shots, portrait for individuals.
      • Celebrate diversity – include volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and roles.
      • Submit by the deadline provided to ensure inclusion in the montage.
