About this Session:
In this session you will learn about two areas of support and expertise from NACRE team members.
Firstly, Jennifer Hedges, Rural officer will give an overview of the North Northants Sustainable Food network.
This is followed by information on community buildings about the Rural Community Buildings Loan Fund and an update about the Platinum Jubilee Village Halls Fund with Frances Harris, Community Facilities Adviser.
About the Presenters: Jennifer Hedges and Frances Harris
Jennifer Hedges: Jenni joined NACRE in December 2019. She has a strong environmental background, including land management and conservation. She is a qualified teacher and forest school leader, as well as having previous roles working with local community projects.
Jenni offers a range of support to rural communities including rural affordable housing, wellbeing and managing green spaces. She is also the coordinator for the North Northants Sustainable Food Network.
Frances Harris: Frances has held this position for ten years, having previously trained as a lawyer and worked in the media industry.
Her role is to provide support and guidance for community facilities including village halls, community centres and playing fields. This covers all aspects of managing a facility as well as guidance relating to governance (including legal and regulatory compliance) and detailed advice about grant funding.
