About this Session:
In this session two areas of support and expertise were spoken about by Northants ACRE team members.
Firstly, Frances Harris, Community Facilities Adviser gave information on community buildings and the Rural Community Buildings Loan Fund and an update about the Platinum Jubilee Village Halls Fund
This is followed by an overview of the North Northants Sustainable Food network with Jennifer Hedges, Rural Officer

About the Presenters: Frances Harris and Jennifer Hedges
Frances Harris: Frances has held this position for ten years, having previously trained as a lawyer and worked in the media industry.
Her role is to provide support and guidance for community facilities including village halls, community centres and playing fields. This covers all aspects of managing a facility as well as guidance relating to governance (including legal and regulatory compliance) and detailed advice about grant funding.
Jennifer Hedges: Jenni joined NACRE in December 2019. She has a strong environmental background, including land management and conservation. She is a qualified teacher and forest school leader, as well as having previous roles working with local community projects.
Jenni offers a range of support to rural communities including rural affordable housing, wellbeing and managing green spaces. She is also the coordinator for the North Northants Sustainable Food Network.
